November 5, 2009 Dear Family, The weather has been nice, the leaves have fallen and they are everywhere. We've been able to find about 5 new investigators, hopefully we can help them progress. Its definitely been a lot different being out 14 months, you know what to expect from investigators, members, less actives, companions.... I just hope I only have to serve here w/ price 3 more weeks, next interviews is going to be a lot more casual. I'm tired of acting preppy and like everything is "perfect". I know we aren't prefect but we need to work and prepare to become perfect, because one day we will be. I just keep thinking of my 2nd area, "E-ville", I much rather tract for 5 hours with a good comp than 1 with one who just argues with everyone we talk to. I bore my testimony this past Sunday, of course crying the whole time, told the story of Adam and Dad, and how everything is perfectly fine. I love this ward here, I've been able to connect with almost all the members, its been awesome going to dinner appointments and feeling that they like you when your over. Bishop weeks is hilarious, Sister weeks reminds me a lot of mom, she always gives me a hard time about stuff its funny. The new ward mission leader is awesome, I love Brother Yovich, I always tell him "what's up young man!" He's like 65 hahah, he's awesome. His son is married and lives right next door to them its pretty funny, they live out in the boonies. Its hard work right now, not physical just everything else....... Love yunz, Elder Holmes He gets the crying thing from his mother....really he does! |
