I am pleased to advise you that Elder Holmes has been called to serve as the District Leader in the Beaver District of the Pennsylvania Pittsburgh Mission.

A District Leader is responsible for the spiritual and temporal support of the missionaries in his district.  He is required to lead by example.  The other missionaries serving in his district will look to him for leadership, counsel, and support.

I have great confidence in Elder Holmes' ability to successfully carry out this assignment.  He is a sound, dedicated missionary.  It will be very rewarding to watch his leadership skills develop as he serves his fellow missionaries with an "eye single to the glory of God."
