April 27, 2009

Dear Family,

Well I'm definitely glad I'm a missionary and that.........I'M GONE AND IN AN AMAZING AREA!!!!

YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH

I'm now senior companion, we have a car (I get to drive...SWEET!) The only bummer is we are in pretty much the farthest south you can be which means its also the hottest. My new companion is Elder Carlson, he's been out 3 months, its a really weird feeling of being senior now and that I've been out for 7 1/2 months...... Things have been going pretty well, I'm just now recovering from having shin splints in both legs, too much walking and running I guess.... it was really annoying but The mission doctor had me on 2400mg of Ibuprofen a day and I'm feeling a lot better now. Glad to hear you had fun and cant wait for the pictures, I'll try to get in some new pictures and send the card home, maybe in 2 weeks, the ending pictures of Millersburg and here.

Some interesting news, June 1st 2009 we will be combining with the Pittsburg Mission, the Pughs will be going home and our new mission president will be the current one of Pittsburg.

Right now the only thing I know about the area is that I'm in Waynesboro, in the York Zone, the ward is one of the biggest in the mission and they love missionaries and missionary work, so its definitely going to be an awesome transfer! The missionary meal calendar is pretty much full, which is always freakin' awesome! Now mom can stop worrying..... hehehe.

There's going to be a lot of changes when we combine, the details... never given to us elders first lol.... anyways, cant wait for the package! the only things I can think of is just the pictures and some sour patch kids, NO chocolate please!, ITS SOO HOT HERE NOW....

Love ya!

Elder Holmes

Glad to hear he is in a new area.  Very interesting to also hear that his mission will be combined with neighboring Pittsburg Mission.  You don't hear of that happening very often.
