My Letters Home: March 23, 2009 - Letter

March 23, 2009

Dear Family,

This week has been very long for me.  We tracted 18 hours and have only talked with 2 people that we found walking the streets.  Hopefully this week we can find some people to teach.  As we were walking downtown we ran into some JW's, they pretty much bashed with us for about 20 minutes, at the end they told us to "think about what they've shared."  I told them to "pray about the things we have shared with you, for God knows the truth of all things, It doesn't matter what I say or what you say, God will show you the truth of what we've shared with you."  They didn't like that very much, we just walked away, they continue to babble on, "Just smile and wave..."

The weather has gotten a lot warmer which is nice, we've been wearing short sleeves!  Nothing new has been happening, it's been hard to continue tracting when we have no success, at least this next month is Easter, somewhat of a break I guess.

That's funny about Adam saying "yo" & "tight", I remember the first time I said the word "crap", I was with dad working the yard at our old house, listening to that old red flashlight radio.  I remember him saying something like, "Devin say something else..."  hahaha, I was like 11 or 12.

Man I miss riding my bike so much, everyone says I'm crazy for wanting to ride for fun.  It's lame because there are a lot of sweet trails around here, oh well.

So hopefully we get MAC at the end of the week, all I got is $10 man!  The only store we have out here is Walmart, Mountain Dew was on sale this week, AAAAAlllllright!  Well I wish I had more to say but life kinda sucks right now.....

Love yunz (Pennsylvania word),

Elder Holmes

Tracting can be real boring, it makes it even worse when you're tracting and nothing happens.   Hopefully they will find someone to teach soon.
