My Letters Home: February 16, 2009 - Email

February 16, 2009

Things have been pretty slow this week, we only taught 2 lessons, and a lot of tracting.  We had to drop one of our investigators and have run into a lot of anti/angry people, but we still go on. Yeah we are in a car area, everything was transferred fine.

Elder Ellsworth is from Arizona, he's a pretty big dude, we've been getting along fine and I'm really enjoying the apartment.  I was able to get some pictures of Amish, their buggies and what not. The branch is really small this past Sunday we had 24 at church, the members we do have are pretty cool. But we only get fed about once maybe twice a week, but I'm still good with my money.

Thanks for the package, its awesome to get them, could you send/email some pictures? Its nice to get a lot of home. That's really awesome that Scott B. is going on his mission, I was wondering if he ever was going to go on one. That's crazy about Michael F.  The Brazil missionaries are grilled in the heat, but they are spoiled with baptisms!  Speaking of baptisms, I sent my talk/testimony for Adam's baptism today so you should get it soon. That's so cool that Brother White got to meet Lance, I'm jealous too!  That would be soooo awesome to meet him.

Tell mom not to waste money on buying me another comforter.... I DO WASH IT!!!!  Gosh.... there's missionaries that haven't washed theirs, their whole mission and there going home next month! That's something to think about!  All my companions tell me I'm a "clean freak", I laugh and think of mom every time, ITS HOW I WAS RAISED! lol.... Anyways, not much has been happening in this area, no crazy stories yet or anything exciting.... I miss Johnstown, it was fun serving there. I don't know what else to talk about of the area.... IM IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE DAD!

Love ya family,

Elder Holmes

Looks like his Angie raised him very well, he's keeping so clean his companions think he's weird.  Good job mom, good job....
