My Letters Home: September 14, 2008 - Letter

September 14, 2008

To My Loving Family,

I have learned so much these past few days here at the MTC, the spirit is so strong it is hard for me to even say a prayer without crying.  The 2nd night here I cried for 15 minutes while I prayed that I wouldn't miss you so much.  I was having a really bad case of home sickness, but now that I have tried my hardest to focus.  Everything that we have been learning makes so much sense, that this is the true church and me and my companion have already taught lesson 1.  I have been able to sing in the choir with my companion and it is the most spiritual thing for me.  It's even hard to sing because of such power that comes from the spirit.  The food is awesome and my district and I get together well.  I hope the best is going on for you at home.  I'll be sending pictures through the mail shortly, we are able to print them through the bookstore, which is nice.  Tuesday is when we have our P-Day and I will be able to email you then.  If you could please mail be the ward directory so I can know the addresses for Zach and others as well as Connor and Aaron.  I can't wait to hear from you.

Your missionary!

Devin L.

P.S. I Love you all so very much, give a hug to Adam for me.

"Heaven's gates are closed to those who come alone,
Save thou a soul and save the own."

Riddle: Looks like a dog, looks like a wolf, full of cement, howls at the moon, what is it?  See if you can figure it out and write me.

We're not sure but we think this came from our son.....sang in the choir?  Who is this really from?!  Looks like he' s getting to work and enjoying the scene.
